Description
The Mustang GT 200 takes Fender’s digital amp platform and scales it up for bigger rooms and louder bands. At 200 watts running in stereo (2 x 100W) through a pair of 12″ Celestion Special Design speakers, there’s enough clean headroom to stay articulate at gig volume while still delivering the amp voicings players expect from Fender’s modeling line.
- 200-watt stereo digital combo, powered by two 12″ Custom Celestion speakers (100W each, 4 ohms total)
- 21 amp models and 46 effects, with realistic “spillover” so delay and reverb tails carry through preset changes
- World’s first WiFi-equipped guitar amp – grab firmware updates, artist presets, and community-shared tones directly
- Bluetooth streaming and wireless control via the free Fender Tone app, plus onboard editing through the color LCD, encoder dial, and soft-touch keys
- Built-in 60-second looper with setlist support for practicing or performing
- Ships with the MGT-4 four-button footswitch for hands-free preset, effects, tuner, and looper control
Beyond raw modeling power, the GT 200 leans on Fender’s relationships with working artists across genres – metal, jazz, pop, R&B – who’ve built presets into the amp themselves, so you’re not starting from a blank slate. The Tone app extends that further, letting you browse, tweak, and save patches from your phone while the amp handles the heavy lifting on stage.
Housed in a lightweight 5-ply plywood cabinet with black textured vinyl covering, black grille cloth, and a soft-touch flip handle, it’s built to travel to gigs where a single 12″ combo just won’t cut it. Connectivity rounds out the back panel with a stereo effects loop, dual XLR line outs for direct-to-PA runs, and a stereo headphone jack for silent practice.
