BOSS built in a Power Control function that scales the amp’s output down for bedroom or studio volumes while keeping the feel and response of a cranked tube-style amp — so you get inspired playing dynamics whether you’re at 100 watts or a whisper.
Under the hood, proprietary circuit design and tuning drawn from the flagship Waza amplifier line shape the amp’s core voicing, giving it the kind of smooth-to-aggressive tonal range that adapts across genres. On top of that foundation, the Katana-100/212 gives you onboard access to 55 BOSS effects covering everything from classic drives and modulations to ambient textures, with up to 15 effects loaded and running simultaneously in the amp itself.
