Description
Bad Cat built the Lynx to answer a specific challenge: how do you give high gain players punchy, quick-reacting low end for palm muting, cutting top end that never turns harsh, and midrange with real complexity — all while keeping the gain crushing and the noise floor silent? The result is this 1×12 combo, hand-assembled in Costa Mesa, California with Bad Cat’s custom hand-wound transformers.
The Lynx offers two distinct voices. Channel 1 spans gritty, crunchy cleans up through 80’s thrash territory, while Channel 2 delivers an ultra-modern high gain tone with massive presence that stays revealing rather than muddy. A reengineered Lo/Hi switch unlocks a new gain-stage architecture unique to this amp, giving you percussive, heavy saturation with strong string-to-string articulation. A uniquely designed, adjustable noise gate (patent applied for) keeps things quiet, and a buffered active effects loop lets your pedalboard run through transparently.
