Description
Built in Ensenada, Mexico, the Super Champ X2 HD Head takes the low-wattage tube tone of Fender’s beloved combo and packages it into a standalone head, ready to drive the companion SC112 cabinet or any 8-ohm enclosure you already own. Under the hood sit a 12AX7 preamp tube and a pair of 6V6 power tubes, delivering 15 watts of genuine tube headroom that’s equally at home for bedroom practice or a small-stage gig where you need real amp dynamics without the volume.
Turn the voicing knob and you’re scrolling through 16 distinct amp characters—Tweed, Blackface, British, Hot Rod, metal, and more—so one head covers a wide swath of classic and modern rock tones. Fifteen built-in effects (including vibratone, delay, chorus, and tremolo) come with dedicated level and tap-tempo controls for dialing in delay time or modulation rate on the fly. Dual channels can be switched manually or via an optional footswitch, and when it’s time to record, the 1/4″ line output and USB port provide speaker-emulated digital output straight to your DAW. Download the free Fender FUSE software for deeper amp and effects editing, plus access to community-shared tone presets.
The matching SC112 cabinet houses a single 12″ Celestion G12P-80 speaker rated at 80 watts RMS at 8 ohms, wrapped in a closed-back design that tightens up low-end response for a punchier, more focused voice.
