Built with input from session and solo veteran ML, this Hot Rod DeVille ML combo takes the familiar Hot Rod DeVille III platform and reworks it for players who need more tonal flexibility on the fly. Two independently switchable volume channels let you dial in a clean rhythm sound and a boosted lead tone, then jump between them via the included two-button footswitch — no crouching over the amp mid-song.
Under the hood, three 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of 6L6 power tubes push 60 watts through dual 12″ Celestion V-Type speakers, giving you enough headroom for rehearsal rooms up through small-to-mid venues, with the kind of push-into-breakup tube character that responds to how hard you hit it. A bright switch sharpens volume one, a boost switch fattens volume two, and an internal variable bias control means the amp can be tailored further by a qualified tech. Fender’s spring reverb and an effects loop round out the practical side, while the blackface-style black and silver grille cloth, black textured vinyl covering, and chicken-head knobs keep the look classic.
