Description
Before Fender modernized things with the Hot Rod Deluxe, there was this: the original Blues Deluxe circuit, prized for its raw, unfiltered tweed character. This Reissue version keeps that early-90s recipe intact, giving players the same warm breakup and touch sensitivity that made the amp a go-to for blues, country, and roots rock players who wanted boutique-style tone without a boutique price tag.
Under the hood sits an all-tube signal path — three 12AX7 preamp tubes and two 6L6 power tubes pushing 40 watts through a single 12″ Special Design Eminence speaker, plenty of headroom for small-to-mid-size stages and studio work. Two footswitchable channels handle the tonal range: a Normal channel with its own Bright switch for glassy clean tones, and a Drive channel with independent Gain and Master controls for pushing the amp into thick, singing overdrive. Fender’s spring reverb adds natural ambience, while the effects loop keeps outboard gear in the mix.
The look is as classic as the sound — genuine tweed covering, chrome control panel, and chicken-head knobs that nod straight back to the golden-era Deluxe and Bassman amps that inspired this design.
