Description
Born from a direct collaboration between Edward Van Halen and Fender’s amp designers, this EVH 5150 III 4×12 cabinet was engineered to translate his signature attack and sustain onto any stage. It’s built around four 12″ Celestion G12EVH speakers, custom-voiced to deliver a dynamic, harmonically dense response that pairs naturally with high-gain heads while still cleaning up when you back off the volume. At a 16-ohm rating and 100-watt handling, it’s suited to venues where you need a full, room-filling wall of sound rather than a bedroom rig.
The cabinet itself is built from premium birch ply with a bolt-on back panel — a construction choice specified by Van Halen himself for its balance of resonance and manageable weight. Large-radius rounded edges, metal corners, and recessed metal handles give it the kind of road-ready durability that holds up to years of load-in, load-out abuse, and pop-out swivel casters make repositioning it backstage or on stage a non-issue.
