Description
Born from the legendary EVH 5150III lineage, the 5150 Iconic Series 80W Head brings genuine EVH tube tone within reach of gigging and recording players who don’t want to compromise on sound. Amp designer James Brown built this head around four 6L6 power tubes and a hybrid preamp driven by two ECC83 tubes, delivering the searing highs and growling gain that defined Eddie’s career.
- Green channel: from glassy cleans to pushed gain via its overdrive button
- Red channel: burn button unlocks fiery crunch for cutting leads
- Independent gain and volume per channel for easy level-matching
- Fast-acting noise gate on channel two keeps riffs tight, not choked
- Foot-switchable Boost adds 10dB so solos never get buried
- Shared Low/Mid/High EQ plus global resonance, presence, and reverb controls
- Two-button footswitch and effects loop included in the layout
- Dual parallel speaker outputs and a ¼-power switch for lower-volume tone crunching
- Speaker-emulated XLR DI with power amp mute for direct recording or PA use
The Black textured vinyl cabinet pairs with a brushed aluminum panel, black steel grille, and silver/black EVH and 5150 badges. Vintage chicken-head knobs, a red LED jewel indicator, and a molded top handle round out the classic EVH look. A fitted cover is sold separately as an EVH accessory.
