The Katana-100 pairs 100 watts with a custom 12-inch speaker to give you enough headroom for stages and band rehearsals, yet its Power Control circuit lets you dial back the volume without losing that cranked-tube feel — ideal for practicing at home without waking the house.
Flip between Clean, Crunch, Lead, Brown, and Acoustic amp characters to cover everything from glassy jangle to Waza-derived high-gain snarl, plus a dedicated voicing for acoustic-electric guitars. Onboard gain, EQ, presence, and effects knobs put tone-shaping right under your fingers, while the Version 2 update adds channel and global EQ for even finer control.
Beyond the amp itself, the Katana-100 opens the door to a massive effects library — 58 effects total after Version 2 introduced SDE-3000 delay, Phaser 90E, and Flanger 117E. Shape and route them freely through the free BOSS Tone Studio software, then save your favorite amp-and-effect combinations to the doubled bank of Tone Setting memories for instant recall mid-set.
Version 2 also brings Cabinet Resonance and Air Feel direct-out functions borrowed from the Waza amp series, useful for recording or running direct to a mixer with a convincing cabinet feel. A built-in tilt-back stand aims the speaker toward your ears for better monitoring on stage.
