Description
The Baroni Jeval rethinks what a guitar amp can be. Rated at a genuine 150W rms, it runs a dual-channel tube preamp anchored by a hi-voltage ECC82, delivering the harmonic richness, dynamic response, and low-end weight you’d expect from a full-size valve head — all in a footprint small enough for a home studio desk or the top of your cab.
Flip between two distinct voicings: CALM channel recreates the shimmer and warmth of blackface-era vintage amps, an ideal clean canvas for pedals. RAGE channel draws on the circuitry of Baroni’s own Gurus Ninja preamp pedal, combining a tube stage with cascaded FETs across six gain stages to conjure the snarl of the angriest high-gain rigs. Each channel gets independent gain, volume, and a dedicated tone stack, while master volume and master presence shape the overall voice.
Format-wise, the Jeval is genuinely flexible: detach the wooden side panels and it drops straight into a pedalboard chain, switching channels via the onboard footswitch. Leave it assembled for desktop or cab-top use, and a rear-panel remote jack lets any standard latching footswitch handle channel changes from a distance.
