Description
Celestion took the Creamback formula and gave it the heavy ‘H’ magnet treatment that first appeared on the original G12H back in the late ’60s. The idea then was simple: bolt a heavier magnet onto a G12M chassis and get firmer bass with a livelier top end. Applied here to the G12M-65 Creamback platform, that same trick yields the G12H-75 Creamback — a speaker that keeps the Creamback’s 75-watt power handling but trades some of its warmth for tighter low end and a more dynamic, punchy high end.
The extra mass of the H magnet adds focus and body to every note, giving single-note runs a thick, almost vocal quality. That makes this speaker a natural fit for players who lead more than they rhythm — it holds together well under bends and sustained notes, and it doesn’t lose definition when the gain climbs. Load a set into a 4×12 cabinet and the combined output is genuinely massive, with plenty of headroom for stage volumes.
