Description
The EVH 5150III 1×12 combo delivers the amp’s signature clean, crunch, and lead voicings through a single Celestion 16-ohm speaker, all driven by seven JJ ECC83 (12AX7) preamp tubes and two JJ 6L6 power tubes. Front-panel power scaling lets you run full 50-watt headroom for stage volume or dial down to just 1 watt for late-night practice without losing the amp’s core character.
Each channel gets its own voicing shaped by gain, low, mid, high, and volume controls, backed by master presence, rear-panel master resonance, and adjustable power level. Built-in DSP reverb adds ambience without an external unit, and the included four-button footswitch handles all three channels plus reverb on the fly. Rear-panel connections cover MIDI input and preamp output for integration with larger rigs, dual parallel speaker outputs, an effects loop, and a headphone jack that mutes the power amp for silent practice.
The custom-shaped birch cabinet uses special internal baffling to shape the amp’s low end, while vintage-style chicken-head knobs, a red jewel indicator, a plastic top strap handle, and casters round out the roadworthy build. A fitted cover is available separately.
