Description
Built on the foundation of the Fender Hot Rod DeVille III, the ML edition was co-developed with acclaimed session guitarist and sideman ML, who has relied on this platform in a dual-amp live rig fed through an array of stompboxes. The result is a 60-watt tube combo that keeps the classic DeVille headroom and clarity while adding player-focused upgrades for stage and studio work.
Two 12″ Celestion V-Type speakers push plenty of air for club and mid-size venue gigs, while 3x 12AX7 preamp tubes and 2x 6L6 power tubes shape a warm, dynamic tube voicing. The ML model’s two independently switchable volumes let you dial in a clean rhythm tone and a boosted lead tone side by side, with a bright switch on volume one and a boost switch on volume two for extra tonal reach. An internal variable bias control gives techs the flexibility to fine-tune tube bias, and a built-in effects loop makes it easy to integrate rack gear or modulation pedals.
Fender’s smooth spring reverb and presence control round out the tone-shaping options, all housed in the familiar blackface-style cabinet with black textured vinyl covering and silver/black grille cloth.
