The Bad Cat Cub 1×12 carries forward a boutique circuit that’s earned its stripes across countless stages and studio sessions. This single-channel, 30-watt combo runs on 2x EL34 power tubes and 3x 12AX7 preamp tubes, delivering enough headroom for small-to-mid-sized venues while still breaking up beautifully when pushed.
A front-panel toggle lets you flip between Clean and Overdrive modes. Clean mode taps into the refined original Cub voicing—bright, chiming tones that soften into a touch-sensitive edge of breakup as you dig in. Flip to Overdrive and an extra tube gain stage kicks in, thickening the harmonic content for more complex, saturated textures. A robust midrange control shapes the tonal core in either mode.
Two independent, switchable master volumes let you preset separate levels for rhythm and lead work, so jumping from verse to solo doesn’t mean scrambling for a volume knob. Studio-quality reverb adds depth and space, while a fully buffered effects loop keeps your outboard gear integrated cleanly into the signal path.
