Description
Milkman Sound’s THE AMP proves that tube tone doesn’t require a heavy chassis. At its core sits a single 12AX7 running at high voltage through a discrete Class A preamp stage, giving you the harmonic richness and touch sensitivity that only real tube circuitry can deliver. Onboard reverb and tremolo — each with a footswitch for instant bypass — turn this into a true grab-and-go rig with no extra pedals required.
Behind the tube front end, a Class D power amp pushes 50 watts into an 8 ohm load, or 100 watts into 4 ohms, plenty of headroom for practice sessions, small clubs, or as a reliable backline substitute. Speaker output uses a combo jack accepting either a standard 1/4″ cable or a locking Speakon connector.
Flexibility is where THE AMP really shines. Run it speakerless straight into headphones for silent practice or pedal auditioning — the headphone amp is voiced to match the speaker output. A universal IEC power input handles 100–260 VAC, so it travels anywhere without a converter. For direct recording or stage use, an internal XLR delivers a balanced, studio-quality line-level signal straight from the tube preamp — no modeling, no menus, just straightforward tone.
There’s also a “pedal level” output, letting THE AMP sit at the front of your pedal chain to inject genuine tube harmonics where a guitar signal needs it most, or further back in the chain to add extra gain staging, EQ, or reverb to an existing amp setup.
