Description
Don’t let the size fool you — the Mustang I V.2 crams a serious amount of tonal range into a single 8″ speaker cabinet. Fender rebuilt this generation with a quieter power amp platform, five additional amp models (including the 57 Twin and 60s Thrift voicings), and five fresh effects like Big Fuzz and Green Screamer, giving bedroom players and gigging songwriters alike a huge palette to work from without stacking pedals.
At the core sits one channel with the controls you’d expect — Gain, Volume, Treble, Bass, Master — plus dedicated Preset, Modulation, and Delay/Reverb select buttons so you can jump between saved sounds mid-song. Twenty-four onboard presets come loaded from the factory, and once you connect via USB to the Fender FUSE software, storage becomes essentially unlimited. FUSE also unlocks deeper editing, patch swapping, intelligent pitch shifting, and free artist-created tone downloads.
A built-in chromatic tuner keeps you in tune without extra gear, and an auxiliary input lets you jam along with a phone or media player. The USB output doubles as a recording interface, and Fender bundles it with Ableton Live Lite 8 (Fender Edition) plus AmpliTube Fender LE, making this a genuinely useful entry point for anyone starting to record guitar at home.
