Description
The ’68 Custom Deluxe Reverb takes the beloved silverface-era Deluxe and gives it a second personality. Under that silver-and-turquoise faceplate with aluminum grille trim sits a modified all-tube circuit offering two distinct channels: a Vintage side that delivers the traditional silverface chime players have chased for decades, and a Custom side wired with a Bassman-style tone stack for a fuller, more aggressive midrange. Fender also dialed back the negative feedback, so pick attack responds faster and gain builds up sooner under your fingers.
At 22 watts through a single 12″ Celestion G12V-70, this combo sits in the sweet spot for small rooms, home practice, and studio work where you want real tube dynamics without needing a full stack’s volume. Built-in spring reverb and tremolo—both tube-driven—round out the vintage-correct experience, letting you dial in surf-style wash or pulsing tremolo without a single pedal.
